Top 5 Korean Dramas of 2011

So, I have my own TOP 5 Korean Dramas of 2011. These are dramas I've seen more than once, and adored next to Uljjang Shi Dae (all season) and recommend to friends and family. My TOP 5 list is in random order, so here it is:

My first choice is: Flower Boy Ramen Shop
This drama is full of talented good looking stars like Jung Il Woo ("the scheduler" from 49 days), Lee Chung Ah, and Lee Ki Woo ("Prince" from Windstruck). The story is simple but romantic and at the same time hilarious. I adore the female lead's acting prowess. She was perfect for the role, her facial expressions were just fit to what the story needs. She has this funny animated face, people keeps confusing her for Sandara Park (DARA of 2NE1). Anyhow, if you want to fall in love and laugh at the same time, you'll definitely like Flower Boy Ramen Shop.

Secret Garden Hyeon Bin/Hyun Bin

Aigoo, I miss him. After his successful drama "Secret Garden" with Ha Ji Won, he enlisted for 2 yrs mandatory service in the army.

I was so sad when I learnt of his actions, he should have at least left us, the fans with a series while he is gone. He'd be away from public view for 2yrs and this number is killing me. Oppa~~~~ Bogoshipoyo. ~_~

Aigoo, How can he leave us like that? :( I hope he is in good health while serving in the military and hope to see him soon. Too bad that his release is around 2013, Aigooo~~~

I watched "Secret Garden" again. I can't stop myself from doing so, I miss Hyeon Bin Oppa, plus the story of "Secret Garden" is fun to watch even for the 2nd time. Surely a good way to end my 2011.

Lee Ki Woo, Flower Boy Ramen Shop

I've been watching this series these past few days and I instantly fell in love with it.This KDrama is so sweet, I just love the story, the characters, the actors & actresses chosen for this drama, they're all perfect for the role.

The lead actress however, is being compared to Sandara Park from all girl k-pop group 2NE1. She looked like her in certain angles, alright. :)

Lee Ki Woo is so perfect. He's sooo tall, taller than the lead actor who took the part Cha Chi So. All of the male casts we're tall, but he stands out among the rest. His cute, adorable, and his innocent face swept my heart away. His smile make me so weak.

It's a good thing that during 2009 is done serving South Korea, for the 2yrs mandatory military enlistment. I don't want the same thing that happened to Hyun Bin to happen to him. After Hyun Bin's debut with the ever successful "Secret Garden" show, he immediately entered for enlistment. :( I won't be able to see his great acting in the next 2 years.

*sigh*

As well as Kim Nam Gil (QSD's Bidam) entered his 2 yrs mandatory military enlistment in 2009 just when QSD made a huge hit in S.Korea and neighboring Asian Countries. :(  I can wait for Ki Woo- Oppa for 2 years but I'll miss him too much. :P So, I was really happy to learn his done serving his country.


Back to Ki Woo Oppa, I'm experiencing sleepless nights because of his adorable smiles... The story as a whole is a must watch number 1 recommended KDrama for everyone. :D

To all team "husband" out there let's keep rooting for Ki Woo Oppa! Hwaiting Oppa!

Flower Boy Ramen Shop

I've found true love with Flower Boy Ramen Shop's Lee Ki Woo. He look so innocent and adorable, and I love his cute habit of dozing off just anywhere in the KDrama. :P 


He is love personified *fan girl scream*. However, I'm wondering if anyone can confirm he's relationship with Shin Min Ah (9 tail fox Gumiho lead), if he is her boyfriend.

Anyhow, this Korean Romantic-Comedy series almost sent me to a stroke, the scenes were a killer. This is a series I'd suggest any KDrama fans out there, this is a must see before 2011 ends.


Lee Ki Woo is a Scorpio and his Birth year was 1981, which means he is around 30 by now. :) He look young for his age, I though his age was around 21. I'm rooting for Lee Ki Woo from now on. He was also a part (cameo) of a Korean Action Romance drama entitled "A Love to Kill" and he had a cameo role in Windstruck. If you liked "My Sassy Girl" I would suggest you watch Windstruck as well.


Flower Boy Ramen Shop is about a girl named Eun Bi, (female lead Lee Chung Ah that in some angles resembles Dara of 2NE1) an aspiring Teacher who met Cha Chi Soo (Jung Il Soo from 49 Days), a rich spoiled notorious playboy. The complication and excitement of these two's relationship immediately unravel at the start of the first episode. This movie has an interesting plot. I'll stop here and encourage you to watch the series yourself. I'm sure you will enjoy this hilarious comedy romantic drama.

Kim Hyung Joong's Ideal Girl / Girlfriend

All K-Drama fans out there reading this post might be well familiar of Boys Over Flowers' Yoon Ji Hoo, Korean heartthrob Kim Hyung Joong, former member and leader of Korean group SS501 and recently debuted solo artist(2011). It's been a while since the last time I've heard about Kim Hyung Joong and his relationship or relationship status.

I do remember about KHJ breaking up with a former girlfriend because she was a distant relative. Poor KHJ, how would he know she's his relative? Korean's seems to have about only 100 surnames, that situation must have been heartbreaking but so far he has moved on, so let's leave his past relationships behind.

So moving forward on the topic, during one interview he was asked of his ideal girl and wife, his answer was rather odd. Twas rather cute if you ask me but in a way odd. Well, KHJ is known for his bizarre characteristic and preferences but nonetheless, with a heart of gold. He auctioned sponsored items he had worn in shoots or ads and donated the proceeds to charities of his choice.

Meanwhile, according to this interview, and if I remember correctly, Kim Hyun Joong's ideal girl is someone who "LIKES TO HAVE LOTS OF BABIES". LMAO. And if I understood him correctly, he also added that he likes a girl "who like to receive expensive gifts and wedding presents coming from him". What a sweet guy, and if I'm the girl, I don't mind having lots of kids who look like him as he is good looking and he can afford to raise a big family.

He seems to be a very generous bf and in the future, husband. I hope he'd be able to find the perfect girl to match him. He deserve the best girl the world could offer as he is a kind, humble and loving man.
